Rangemaster as a company is over 200 years old, but it first started to make cookers back in 1830 in Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire and are still manufactured there today. Rangemaster is part of the AGA Rangemaster Group Plc, which is responsible for the original manufacture of the iconic cast iron cooker. The AGA Rangemaster Group Plc is headquartered in Telford in Shropshire.

There are three main types of Rangemaster cookers available on the market today- the Traditional range, the Contemporary Range and the Built In Rangemaster cookers. All come packed full of features with the main difference between the groups being aesthetic and choosing which range to go for is a question of preference for the style of cooker rather than the features that each range possesses.

Within the Contemporary Rangemaster Cookers, there are three different fuel types available for the appliances. These include Dual Fuel, Natural Gas and Electric Rangemaster Cookers. The Freestyle, the Elite and the Elite SE models are only available in dual fuel, so if you were wanting to go for electric or a natural gas cooker, I am afraid that you will have to rule these three models out.

If you are after something a little bit different, why not take a look at the Floral Collection? Tested and approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI), the Floral Collection is a sub-category within the Excel range of Rangemaster cookers and are the first ever printed cookers from Rangemaster. These Rangemaster cookers are available as either dual fuel or natural gas (LPG Convertible) and there are three different printed floral designs to choose from- including The Orchid, The Gerbera and Wild Flowers. With the emphasis of these patterns being mainly pink and girly, it is not difficult to see who the target market is here. But they are definitely something a little bit different and you can almost guarantee that none of your friends will have one.

As always, do not forget when you are buying an appliance that is a bit loud in colour or makes a bit of a statement that you will need to find appliances that go well with your printed appliance, but as these patterns are all printed onto white appliances, you really should not have much of a problem if you stick to white fridges and dishwashers as well.

Most of the other ranges of Rangemaster cookers are available with dual fuel, natural gas or electric and most are twin ovens, although the Toledo 90 and the Professional+ 90 are single oven Rangemaster cookers.

The AGA Rangemaster Group Plc is now a massive company, which is worth approximately three hundred million pounds. The company also has three thousand employees worldwide and is not planning on stopping there, but intends to continue growing significantly over the next few years. Other brands within the Group include AGA, Divertimenti, Falcon, Fired Earth, Grange, Heartland, La Cornue, Leisure sinks, Marvel, Rayburn, Stanley and Waterford. Many of these are British companies with a long heritage and English tradition.
