Black is the new stainless steel in the kitchen fashion world! In many cultures, the colour black is symbol of authority and modesty and is a sign of due respect. In Japanese culture, black is a symbol of nobility, age and experience and a black belt is a mark of achievement and seniority in martial arts such as karate and judo. But even in the UK, Black Tie functions are a type of sophisticated and smart gathering, black also denotes prestige- many limousines are black and traditionally our police cars were black and white, demanding respect and authority.
Black Appliances certainly demand and earn that respect. The simple uniform colour looks sleek and modest in a wooden kitchen and blends in perfectly with dark wood surfaces, but also contrasts brilliantly with opposite colours such as white and even stainless steel cupboards and worktops. Black is a truly versatile colour.
Most top kitchen manufacturers offer a choice of black kitchen appliances, including refrigerators and freezers, cookers, dishwashers, washing machines and even wine coolers amongst others. There are a couple of options available to you if you want to redesign your whole kitchen with black appliances. You can obviously buy the whole appliance, but depending on your budget, there is an option to cheat in some cases until you have the money to buy the real thing. Some manufacturers have begun to produce black frames for appliances that you may have already purchased. This is not available in all cases and it depends upon the appliances that you already own, but here is an example.... Black Kitchen Appliances Article
