LPG Hobs

LPG or Liquefied petroleum gas is being preferred for home use nowadays. IT comes from refineries where it is often flared as a waste product. It’s competitive pricing and low gas emissions have warranted its warm welcome into many kitchens. Often, one may want to change their current hobs to the LPG hobs so as to tap into its great advantages or seasonal insane offers. While by law, the actual installations of such hobs can only be done by a registered gas installer in conformity with the buildings control for which you will receive a certificate, the actual purchase of the hob can be done by anybody without restriction.

LPG like any other hobs has both advantages and disadvantages. To begin, we will start by highlighting its features. The hobs can be of many materials though stainless steel is the most common as it prevents rust and are easier to clean and maintain. Their first appearance exudes features mimicking normal gas hobs.

They offer more flame control and while purchasing one, consider multiple burners each of different size. This will help you use the most efficient flame depending on the cooking pot’s size. Safety is paramount in the LPG hobs due to their combustible nature. Features of interest may include Flame failure device to cut the gas supply if left leaking without presence of a flame. The ignition should also be of interest since it ignites the burners heating flames and extinguishes the flames once the control knob is turned off. These features as well as others which you can research on should help you prevent accidental fires.

Consider doing some research to identify the most efficient hobs for use. LPG may seem very expensive at first but compared to other fuel sources, it is very efficient with 1kg of LPG providing the equivalent of 4kg of charcoal.
