Small Kitchen Appliances
Small Kitchen appliances refers to the hordes of kitchen appliances for the home that are portable or semi portable used mainly on counter tops or any other suitable platform. Though small, these appliances are tasked with performing uphill tasks in our day to day activities. They in fact exist for the sole purpose of assisting us in performing a certain job.
A majority of these items use electricity either plugging in from a mains supply or from batteries which is common to most hand held devices. If it is plugged in from a mains supply, the device may make use of a permanent cord which may have its own cord storage feature to prevent the cord from dangling all over and possibly getting damaged or causing injury in the process. The few hand-held devices that use batteries may either make use of the disposable or rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable batteries are typically more expensive due to their reuse nature.
While most of the hand-held devices perform a single function, a small fraction of them can actually perform different functions such as making use of a motor to constitute several different appliances. A good example is an electric blender that can double as a food processor or a juicer, sometimes all in one.
Multifunctional small kitchen appliances are not uncommon as a vast majority come with added extensions that can perform additional functions. In the event that electricity is not present, a few kitchen appliances function equally well with other sources of energy such as gas. This makes them larger and less portable as compared to electric appliances. Still, others require neither gas nor electricity as the can be hand powered. Commonly referred to as gadgets or tools, this appliances make for the most convenient to use. They are typically small and highly portable.
