Sink bowl is also known as the basin. It is into this material that the water from the tap attached to the sink, or anything that is manually ported into a sink falls into and gets drained after filtering. A filter like material is connected to the sink bowl which actually filters down the water flowing through it. Because of this it seems helpful t us from getting wastes, garbage or any such thing to get accumulated with the pipes of the sink.

It also helps to retain any valuable things, like a ring for example, which happened to fall into the sink bowl by mistake. Most usually the taps are attached to the bowls. There are single tap and multi tap models available in the market. Where there are more than one tap, one of them provides for cold water and the other or other provides us with hot or warm water.

It comes in different shapes, colours and sizes. They are made up of different materials like stainless steel, enamel over steel or cast iron, marble, ceramic, plastic, wood, stone, copper glass etc. the most wanted, popular and preferred one is the stainless steel ones, especially for the kitchen.

They come in several types like the formal ones suitable for an office like environment, comic and cartoon character ones suitable for kids bed room, their play area, school etc, they appear in different mind blowing appearances for installing at homes like for example it may start from beneath the tap from where the water taps the basin and then it may lead like a river shape to the drain hole.

Another variety type is to prefer a basin or bowl with glass and thereby setting an aquarium with it. There several other exciting shapes and models available which makes them different from the traditional or conventional models.
